The mask that follows you seems glassy, half laughing or half crying – weare unable to fathom its intentions. We may think that we can feel something through such a face, but it is actually very difficult for us to determine. Viewers move cautiously as they are looking at him / her,he / she hesitated but still try to follow the viewers’ eyes. The gaze behind the canvas seems to show a sense of expectancy or maybe fears. It looks like it about to speak, but saying nothing. What is really hiding behind the surface? Our curiosity is aroused an maintained by our anxiety. We look at him/her under such state until we give up and turned our eyes away to look at other viewers in the room.
